Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Scenisk is an online marketplace connecting clients with independent musicians for private events. The platform is operated from Canada and governed by the applicable laws of Ontario and the province of Quebec, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The person responsible for the protection of personal information is the founder and operator of Scenisk, reachable at hello@scenisk.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform:
- —Account information — your name and email address when you register
- —Event details — date, venue, type of event, and guest count submitted during a booking request
- —Artist profile content — biography, photos, and portfolio links uploaded by artists
- —Messages — communications exchanged between clients and artists through the platform
- —Usage data — pages visited and actions taken, used solely to improve the platform
We do not collect payment card information. When payment processing is introduced, it will be handled entirely by Stripe. Scenisk will never store payment credentials.
3. How we use your information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- —Create and manage your account
- —Facilitate booking requests between clients and artists
- —Enable messaging between parties to a booking
- —Display artist profiles to prospective clients
- —Send transactional notifications related to your bookings
- —Comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data storage and transfers
Scenisk uses Supabase as its database and authentication provider. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Data may be stored on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. By using Scenisk, you consent to this transfer in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law.
Media files (profile photos, gallery images) are stored in Supabase Storage and served via a public content delivery network.
5. Your rights
Under Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- —Access the personal information we hold about you
- —Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- —Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- —Withdraw consent to certain uses of your information
- —Be informed of any privacy breach that presents a risk of serious harm

6. Cookies
Scenisk uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics tools are currently active on the platform.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve an open dispute.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
